Letterpress printing has been around for over 500 years and is making a comeback in creative circles. This adventure will teach you a brief history of letterpress printing and design, then you’ll hand-set type, ink and print a personalized journal cover. This class will include lecture, demonstration, and hands-on work as you gather and bind the journal using a pamphlet-stitch style. Scrap Iron Press will provide the needed supplies, including letterpress type, printing press, ink, brayers, paper (cover and inside), clean-up materials and binding equipment.
